Support & Defend the Constitution…

…against all enemies, both foreign and domestic.

We were told that we would be the guardians of democracy across the world. Veterans of every war believed they were defending democratic values, whether they fought Nazis, totalitarian dictators, or terrorists.

It pains us to see those democratic values under fire in our home country, which was once the beacon of democracy around the world. At VetsFWD, our volunteers will stand for these democratic values and work to ensure that voting rights are preserved.

Where we stand on:

  • Ranked-choice voting fosters a more inclusive and fair democratic process. RCV encourages candidates to appeal to a broader spectrum of voters, reducing polarization and promoting cooperation. It ensures that the winner has majority support, enhancing legitimacy and reflecting the true will of the people.

  • Expanding access to mail-in voting enhances voter participation and accessibility. Military personnel, often stationed far from home, can cast their ballots with ease, ensuring their voices are heard. Early voting options also accommodate voters with busy schedules, promoting civic engagement and representation.

  • Direct democracy and ballot initiatives empower citizens to shape policies directly. Having served to protect democratic values, veterans appreciate the importance of people's voices in decision-making. Ballot initiatives enable citizens to advocate for issues that matter, fostering a more responsive and accountable government.

  • We fought to defend democratic principles, including the right to vote. Expanding access to the ballot ensures that every citizen's voice is heard, upholds the spirit of democracy, and honors the sacrifices made in defense of these fundamental rights.
